The lovely Martin Purnell of Channel Fisheries is coming all the way up from Brixham harbour to treat us to an evening of the freshest fish from the waters of the English Channel and the coast of Devon and Dorset.

Channel Fisheries hold the Queen’s Warrant and are part of the Marine Steward Council for ethical, sustainable fishing.

Tomàs is the founder and wine maker of the impressive Tomàs Cusiné Wines. His estate is in Les Garrigues region of El Vilosell, Lleida, west of Barcelona, located in an area of complex terrain.

Source BEEF with Aubrey Allen

Aubrey Allen, who hold the Queen’s warrant, are one of the highest quality butchers in the UK. We have been supplied by Aubrey Allen from the very first day we opened. Chef director Ben Ternent speaks to the butchers every morning to place his order for the best produce the season can offer: quail, venison, duck, lamb, pork and divine grass fed beef.

On this evening, we will showcase different cuts of beef from the UK farmers who specialise in grass fed herds, and you will taste the difference from Aubrey Allen’s dry aged beef.

Opus In Conversation

Opus holds a series of Conversations throughout the year on topical subjects that affect our community. Previous conversations:

Vanley Burke: Beyond Windrush; Vanley, who was born in Jamaica and moved to the UK at the age of 14, has spent decades diligently photographing the black community, particularly in and around Handsworth, as a way of documenting their story. Vanley is widely regarded as the grandfather of black British photography, talking about his thought-provoking work. Topics included the African-Caribbean diaspora within the UK, Windrush and migration.

It’s Time For Systemic Change; Jean Templeton, chair of WMCA Homelessness Taskforce led the panel discussing the rising issue of homelessness in the West Midlands.
